The Stark PFO (Parent/Faculty Organization) is a not-for-profit group of dedicated parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and staff whose purpose is to enhance the entire Stark community but most specifically the children’s educational experiences. By having a child at Stark you are automatically a PFO member!
Our primary objective is to raise money through fundraising events to provide our schools with programs and resources that are not covered by the SPS budget. Some examples of activities sponsored by the PFO include:
- Field trips
- Teachers appreciation week
- Fundraising events
- Students planners (grades 3rd to 5th)
- Cultural enrichment (Story Pirates, Harmony Nation)
The PFO meets once a month – generally the 2nd Thursday of the month – the meetings are currently held virtually through Google Meet. We use this time to plan for the upcoming activities, fundraisers and events.
